I would love
to write about the Biblical virtuous woman.
Pastor W.F.Kumuyi
of the deeper life ministries has this to say about the Bible,’’ The
picture of your future is in the scriptures.’’
Hence, it is
befitting to look at what the Bible has to say about the woman that pleases
God. This I believe is the dream of every single sister.
For
everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that
through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they
provide we might have hope. (Roman 15:4 NIV)
Why the emphasis on the
portrait of a virtuous woman?
It is
because the woman has a very complex role to play in building a family. The woman
specie is infused by God at creation some unique and vital qualities that without
her, the man is incomplete.
The earlier Christian
single ladies realized this the better. And that is why, you as a sister can’t
afford to live a careless and promiscuous life. Your womb has been delicately
designed by God to be a vehicle that brings forth destinies into the world.
The world
today is replete with so much immorality and promiscuity at an alarming rate.
Dare to be
different!
Dare to separate
yourself from the world and for Christ.
Let’s take a brief look
at the picture of the Biblical virtuous woman
1. She is driven by excellence in
whatever she does
2. She is driven solely by the fear of
the Lord. In essence, she is accountable unto God first before anyone else. She
is able to bring her life unto the tutorship of the Lord Jesus Christ.
3. She likes being a wife and not a
mistress or slay mama
4. She is family-focused
5. She is hospitable and charitable.
6. She is driven by modesty. She does
not dress indecently by exposing her body to men to ogle and lust after.
7. She places character and good name
above material gains. In essence she can’t be deceived by a man that dangle inappropriate
gift at her.
8. She is very visionary
9. She is hard work personified.
10. She is very resourceful
11. She is full of infectious confidence
12. She is beautiful and accepts the way
God have crafted her. She does not need to bleach her skin, pierce her body
just to look acceptable
13. She is industrious and ambitious
14. She is conscious of time and makes judicious
use of it. Her time is expended on things that are productive and
result-oriented.
15. She is very creative
16. She is submissive to her husband and full
of respect for him.
17. She is a praying woman
18. She takes delight in serving the Lord
19. She is an entrepreneur and a goal
getter.
20. She is full of faith in the God of
the Bible.
