What is purpose?
According to the dictionary, purpose is the reason for which something is done ot created or for which something exist.
A close look at the above Bible reference indicates that our purpose and the reason we are here on earth is for God's glory. That is to say that our purpose is to praise, worship, proclaim and to accomplish His greatness and ultimately glorify Him with our lives.
It is often said, that if the purpose of a thing is not known or defined, then abuse is inevitable.
Dear friends, before you ever think of marriage, the discovery of your purpose in life should be paramount in your heart.
Discovering your purpose would help in outlining your values and sticking by then no matter the bait of compromise.
Discovering your purpose would help you have a clear picture of the path you must take to arrive at your destiny.
For Apostle Paul in the Bible, is purpose in life was clearly stated in Acts 9:15-16, which says,
" But the Lord said unto him, go thy way : for he is a chosen vessel unto me, TO BEAR MY NAME BEFORE THE GENTILES, AND KINGS, AND THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL. For I will show him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake." (emphasis mine )
Just like the above reference, everyone has got a purpose in this life. And only the one who created us can rightly tell us the reason we were created.
Discovering your purpose would help in knowing who to choose as your marriage partner. This is very crucial and you must give all it takes to discover you purpose.
The day you realize God's purpose for your life, your success has began
Many go to school and university not knowing why they are there - because they have not discovered themselves. Some engage in all manner of shameful things like prostitution and thuggery.
What a shame!
As ChristianSingles, you should know that you are in the world but you are not of the world.
Have you asked yourselves the following questions: why am I here? Why was I born dark or fair? Why was I born into your family? Why did God give me all the opportunities that I have enjoyed? Why did you go through the challenges you have had?
All these relates to purpose. God has a purpose for creating you. For all the billions of people all over the world, God created all for a reason.
THE EXAMPLE OF PAUL (Acts 9: 15-16)
Going by the Bible reference above, we can clearly see that when the purpose of a thing is not known, then abuse is inevitable. Until Paul knew the purpose for his existence, he continued to work against it. Many people are in the same state today.
They are working against the purpose of their existence because they do not yet know it. May the open your eyes to see why He sent you to this earth in Jesus name.
Purpose is the main thing and it must come before marriage. It is like the skeleton or bone structure in the body. And without the bones housed by the flesh or skin, the human body can not perform its normal activities.
Without purpose marriage would not make meaning..
PRAYER POINT: Father grant me the grace to discover my purpose before marriage in Jesus name.
