A lot of ladies are living with men with the promise that they would eventually marry and as a result of this continue to have sex. This against the word of God as clearly stated in the above Bible reference.
You to assume that you are both married when the necessary steps have not be taken with respect to marriage ceremony.
In fact, quite a number of ladies have go habitung with their male counterparts to the extent of having children, yet the bride price have not be settled.
The truth is better but it must be told! If you want peace for your life with respect to proper marriage, you had better head the Word of God.
If you are a sister and a brother asking for your hand in marriage does not see anything wrong with pre-natural sex, you had better run away from him before he destroys your life.
The reason while there so many failed marriages today (not all though) can be linked to pre-marital sex.
Also, the reason why couples, even Christians indulge in extra-marital affairs can be traced to the sexual practices that they had engaged at before they got married.
Sex is like a fruit: if a fruit is not riped, it leaves a sour taste on the tongue but if it is ripe it leaves a sweet taste on the tongue.
The following are some of the reasons why you must not engage in sex before marriage:
1. It is a sin against God because you are using it for the wrong purpose.
2. It can lead to unwanted pregnancy.
3. It can lead to hatred from the one professing love to you. The came of Tamar in 2Samuel 13:1-15 is a vivid example.
4. It can destroy the plan and purpose of God for your life.
5. If you are a student, it can cut short your educational aspirations.
6. In the case of unwanted pregnancy, some many ladies, even Christian sisters lost their lives in the course of towing the line of abortion.
7. It can give you a disease you will serve till you die.
Dear friends, ALL HOPE IS NOT LOST of you have been indulging in pre-marital sex and you are ready to abstain and save yourself from future marital agony and misery.
Then go to the Lord Jesus Christ in absolute confession and repentance. The Bible says He will abundantly pardon. Ask Him for help. Repent and forsake your sexual sins for His Word says
"If we say that we have not sinned, we are fooling ourselves and the truth is not in our heart's. But if we confess our sins to God, He can always be trusted to forgive us and take our sins away." (1John 1:8-9) CAB
Once again, dear friends say no to sex before marriage.
